Sunnyside Yard
This page contains pictures of the Pennsylvania Railroad's Sunnyside Yard in Astoria/Long Island City, New York.  Most were taken by a young lady, Frieda (Rose) Hohner, who worked on the turn-around crew as a "Checker", re-supplying and cleaning passenger equipment in preparation for its next use.  While the exact dates of images are not known, unless noted they are from the 1920s.
Anecdotally, Rose would later go on to marry the fellow featured in several of these pictures.  Theodore J. Michaels worked for The Pullman Company - moving on from Sunnyside to eventually take the top post at Hoboken Terminal.
